Pawse’s mission is to advocate pet adoption and animal rescue by hosting events that focus on animal rescue, educating our community about responsible pet ownership, and partnering with local animal shelters/rescue organizations. We strive to mobilize our communities to fight for animal welfare and ensure that animals across the world have a second chance at life and happiness. We were so moved by Thulani’s mission to save senior dogs, and so throughout July and August of 2021, our club worked together to organize a fundraiser on behalf of rescue. We believe that together, we can save lives, one paw at a time!

1/27/21 Continuing Donation In honor of Chief and Thulani Dog Rufus
In honour of my Chief and your rescue Rufus. Chief was the most loyal and protective soul I have ever known. I can’t remember our lives before him. I miss him so much, it still hurts and the tears still fall. I wanted to honor him in some way and finding your rescue is a way for me to. I fell in love with Rufus, he reminds me of Chief, so handsome and regal. I hope to get up there soon and visit him. Until then, I have set up a monthly donation in honor of them both. Rufus, keep working hard and stay young at heart! Chief, I could never replace you, you were my boy and I was your person. Our family is incomplete without you. Thank you for your unconditional love, loyalty and companionship.

Hammy was almost 10 when we rescued him. While he only lived for 9 months after we brought him home, he showed us so much love that it fills our hearts for the rest of our lives. He did not know how to like other dogs or cats or squirrels but he sure knew how to love us and be the first dog we could ever asked for. Hammy, we love you forever.
