Rambler was picked up as a stray in Los Angeles, and his owner was located via a microchip.  The owner came to the shelter, saw him, and then left saying he did not want him.

So Rambler is our newest Thulani Program dog.  Rambler is a wonderful, gentle soul that likes dogs, likes people, likes cats, and is a worldclass leaner.  He takes treats gently, rides well in the car, is a bit wobbly in his rear end but really likes to motor along on his walks.

The pictures are of Rambler and Karen, the woman who saved him and brought him to us.

He is a level 1 dog that will live out his life in style as part of our Thulani Program.

Rambler is lovely! How old is he? What condition does he have that landed him in Thulani?

      Hi Debra,

Rambler was listed as 14 years old by the people who dumped him at the shelter. And he was in poor physical shape as is so often the case with abandoned dogs. But also, as so often is the case with these dogs, once he came into the Thulani Program and was placed in a caring home, he blossomed. He has been with us for 10 months, is very healthy and active, has a bit of an attitude, and is well loved. If we believe the people who dumped him, he is approaching 15 years of age. I don’t believe it for a moment. So his age is a guess, but his final chapter in Thulani is a great success.

Thanks for getting right back to me. I will be looking for a nice senior dog to accompany me on a road trip and keep me and my small dog company. I have adopted a senior before. He was a wonderful pit bull. It sounds like some of your older shepards might fit right in with us..I am so glad you are out there providing senior care to these beautiful dogs!
