Tatum T.: Puppy Love, Thulani Style
Tatum T. is a beautiful 11 mo old German Shepherd female that is alert and playful, a little bit assertive at times, toy focused, and generally a typical puppy. She loves to carry toys around, steal shoes, and counter surf (sound familiar?). Having refocused my sensors to having a puppy around, when things go quiet, my instinct is to yell “Whatever you are doing, don’t”. She is sweet and snuggly in an impish sort of way.
Take a look at these pictures. If these don’t melt your heart, then you must be a robot. Given the right opportunity, she is all slurps, cuddles, and tail wags.
Tatum T. has serious medical issues that include serious aortic stenosis, mitral insufficiency, tricuspid insufficiency, and is recovering from pneumonia. Her long term prognosis is guarded. There are no medical solutions to cure her condition. But there are heart medicines that will help take some of the load off her heart, and with a life of mildly restricted activity we plan to give Tatum the best life possible.
Tatum T. is part of our Thulani Program because of her cardiac and associated conditions. As such, we will find her a permanent foster home in which to live out her life. The Thulani Program will cover all the expenses for Tatum in her foster home. If you would like to consider providing Tatum with her forever home, please contact Bob at firstname.lastname@example.org.
